Welchen Root Server für Minecraft

Ich habe ein Minecraft Gameserver würde aber auf einen Root Server umsteigen.
Momentan ca. 10 Spieler Online und 20 Slots hat der Server.
Momentan verbraucht er ca. max 1 GB RAM laut Nolagg Plugin bei hoher Besucherzahl.
Reicht da ein Strato Server mit Intel Sandy Bridge G530 CPU (2 x 2,4 GHz) und 4 GB RAM aus ?
 
Da gebe ich MTA vollkommen Recht, der Xirra Dedi ist wohl die bessere Lösung für dich.

Bei Xirra spielt der Kundenservice zumindest noch eine große Rolle, bei einem Massenhoster wie Strato kann es dir passieren das du gleich mal einen Tag wartest weil du z.B. einen Hardwaredefekt hast.

Ein Freund war dort vor kurzem selbst noch und hatte seinen Minecraft Server mit rund 90 registrierten Benutzern betrieben, mittlerweile haben die Ressourcen einfach nicht mehr gereicht und er ist zu Hetzner auf einen EX4S (32GB Ram) gewechselt.
 
Die Kisten von IP-Projects taugen da nix, sind nur alte AMD Krücken und einmal ein Q8000 Quadcore, für Minecraft ist ein gescheiter DualCore das beste.

Minecraft bzw, die JVM kann sehr wohl 2-3 Kerne in Beschlag nehmen ;-)

:) Er hat wohl das Scrollrad der Maus nicht bedient. Einfach ein bisschen nach unten Scrollen.

Wobei tatsächlich hier nur einer noch in Frage käme.

Aktuell ja, wenn du eine Neuinstallation durch den Support wünschst - ein automatisches Installationssystem gibt es noch nicht. Aber du hast ja Zugriff auf ein Rescue System, das erfodert natürlich ein wenig mehr Handarbeit.
