Anscheinend ist Deine Conf irgendwie falsch. Solange Du sie nicht postest kann man dazu nix sagen. Logischerweise proftpd mit "/etc/init.d/proftpd restart" neustarten nach Änderungen der conf. www.webmin.com hilft bei solchen Aufgaben ganz enorm...

Außerdem solltest Du sicherstellen, dass es die /var/log/xferlog wirklich gibt und sie notfalls mit vi /var/log/xferlog dann :wq! eintippen erstellen. Denn wie Deine Fehlermeldungen nahelegen, scheint es die log Datei, die proftpd verwenden will einfach nicht zu geben.

Ist angelegt worden wie Du beschrieben hast. Conf muss ich, dann mal ändern denke ich. Bitte schau doch mal durch ob Du was findest. Wäre nett.

Huh, das sieht ganz nach Adminoberfläche a la Exim oder Confixx aus? Wenn Du an der Conf groß was änderst, kann sein, dass das Zusammenspiel mit der Oberfläche nicht mehr funzt! :eek: Da sollte man aufpassen.

Gibts die Datei: /usr/local/psa/var/log/xferlog ??

Meine xferlog war der STANDARD. Deine scheint woanders zu sein. (Exim ConfWixx :mad: ).

Vermutlich bekommst Du mit meiner Config den FTP Server zum Laufen, zerschiesst Dir dabei aber die Adminoberflächenfunktionalität. Daher würde ich EXTREM VORSICHTIG vorgehen und auf jeden Fall ein Backup machen.

Hier hast Du selbst einen Fehler gemacht. Das stammt nicht aus der messages, sondern, Du hast was kopiert und in die Bash eingefügt. Wahrscheinlich bist Du auf die rechte Maustaste gekommen.

Die Datei kannst Du wieder löschen.

Da oben schon mal was von PSA stand: Es handelt sich um ein in Plesk integriertes proFTPd-Paket.
Wobei die Plesk-Config in folgender Datei steht:

Diese Datei ist bei mir allerdings leer.

Aber mach mal ein "proftpd --configtest". Evtl. spuckt er Dir dann schon was aus.
Und prüf nochmal die /etc/hosts auf obigen Eintrag. (Am Besten mal hier rein posten.)

Hallo habe wiedereinmal durch huschi meinen Fehler gefunden. Die hosts war es und zwar ip <domain> <name> ist der Schlüssel zum Glück. Habe vergessen hinter die Domain nochmals den Namen einzutragen also
87.106.xx.xx fsitxx.de fsitxx so ist es richtig.
:D Komisch jetzt geht auch der login per ftp.*ggg* Was für ein Glück.
Bin wieder mal dem Meister zu DANK verpflichtet. Auch an die anderen vielen DANK wieder einmal für die Hilfe.
