der Softwarehersteller Parallels hat ein Upgrade der aktuellen Plesk-Version auf Plesk 9 zur Verfügung gestellt.

Ihr Lizenzkey für Plesk 8 oder Plesk 7 ist mit der neuen Version NICHT kompatibel.

Wir raten Ihnen daher dringend, bis auf weiteres dieses Update nicht auf Ihrem System einzuspielen.
Ohne gültigen Lizenzkey kann Plesk nicht verwendet werden.

Zur Zeit befindet sich die neue Plesk-Version in den STRATO Entwicklungslabors und wird von der Qualitätssicherung eingehend geprüft.

Kann ich eigentlich die Backups einzelner Domains/Kunden, die mit Plesk 8.6 angefertigt wurden einfach in Plesk 9 wieder "laden"?

Hat jemand schon ein erfolgreiches Update von Plesk 8.6 auf Plesk 9 unter Debian 4.0 gemacht?

Die Backups sollten untereinander kompatibel sein, natürlich nicht von 9.0 auf 8.6, aber das ist hier wohl jedem klar. Nach leidvollen Erfahrungen mit dem Plesk-Backup kann ich Dir allerdings wärmstens den Plesk Migration Manager empfehlen.

@Do1jz: Bei Plesk 8 war es eine (gefühlte) Ewigkeit. Kann das nicht mehr genau benennen, aber als der Key für Plesk 8 endlich verfügbar war, konnte ich jedes Problem, dass ich beim Update hatte, hier nachlesen

So ich habe es ja nun auch drauf und es rennt auch so wie es soll.
Nur die Frage ist diese ich habe bisher qMail genutzt und jetzt beim Update auch qMail Ausgewählt.
Was passiert eigentlich wenn ich nun Postfix auswähle nachträglich werden alle Mails und Co Migriert? Ich kanns mir schlecht erlauben das alle Mails verloren gehen

Sind ja erst einmal zwei unabhängige Dinge (SMTP & POP/IMAP). Auf jeden Fall sind die Mails erhalten geblieben. Allerdings gibt es da schon Meldungen von Postfix, die mich ein wenig stuzig machen:

Ich konnte Plesk von der letzten 8er Version auf die 9 updaten. Hat super geklappt. Erst hat er gemeckert wegen Lizenzschlüssel. Nach 2h gings dann von allein.

Plesk rennt und macht Spaß. jedoch bin ich mit der Performance der Webseiten nicht mehr zufrieden. Die sind seitdem lahm. CPU und loadaverage jeweils bei 0.05. Ansonsten gibts keinen traffic. Hat jemand einen Rat?

Zum webmailder. Horde ist extrem schön. Endlich modern und konkurrenzfähig. At mail (kann man nun bequem jeder kunde selbst festlegen) sieht auch nicht schlecht aus. Jedoch muss noch das deutsche Sprachpaket per Hand installiert werden.

mein windows vps bei netclusive hat das update auch brav gemacht.

einmal retrieve key und dann plesk einmal restarten.

Auf meiner benutzten kiste bei united hoster warte ich aber noch ein bisschen ab.

Laut dem Support unterstützt S4you Plesk 9.0 nicht.

Hallo!
Starte YaST, Software hinzufügen entfernen, [Alt]- für suchen, psa eintragen und den Hotfix auswählen. Danach wird YaST über 2 ungelöste Abhängigkeiten meckern. Auch diese zur Deinstallation auswählen.

Hat sich schon einmal wer mit dem Interface und dem anpassen des solchen befasst? Also ich möchte eben das Interface für Kunden bzw. Domain-Admins sehr restriktiv einstellen, was einfach nicht geht. Man kann diverse Berechtigungen wegnehmen, aber gewisse Teile bleiben trotzdem bestellen. Wenn man das über "Skins" und die "Startseiten Voreinstellungen" geht und dort z.b. eine Kopie von "Default Client Home Page" macht und diese verändert, geht es zwar einigermassen, aber man sperrt sich quasi selbst aus, selbst als Admin. Gehe ich als Admin eingeloggt auf einen Kunden dem ich dieses Template verpasst habe, sehe ich auch nur noch genau die Sachen die ich im erlaube, das ergibt irgendwie keinen Sinn ?!
