Strato Vserver mit Debian - ständig crash

Hallo,
Habe seit über einen Jahr einen Vserver bei Strato mit Debian und hatte bis jetzt nie Probleme.

Seit Ca. 10 Tagen fällt der Vserver am Tag mindestens 2 mal aus.

Jup, irgendein Cronjob von Dir verursacht Probleme, und zwar einer, der scheinbar jede Minute ausgeführt wird.

Evtl. ist es auch der Cron selber, der Probleme hat, weil Dein System restlos überlastet ist, aber es sieht mir danach aus, dass in der Crontab etwas steht, was nicht funktioniert.

Ja, ich habe einen Crontab der jede Minute ausgeführt wird und diesen habe ich eben deaktiviert.

Werde jetzt den Vserver beobachten ob crontab der Fehler war oder nicht.

Habe auch gemerkt dass der Postfix zuerst sein Geist aufgibt.
 
Kann es auch sein dass es etwas mit Strato Kernel zu tun hat?
Bis jetzt ist seit fast 1 Jahr alles wunderbar gelaufen :D
 
Dann liegt das aber eher an dem Job der ausgeführt wird und seiner Inkompatibilität zum aktuellen Kernel. Es wäre unglaublich hilfreich, wenn Du uns mal sagen würdest, was da für ein Job läuft.
 
Da mein Vserver ständig angegriffen wurde musste ich den FTP und SSH ausschalten. Jeden Tag hat jemand versucht sich entweder per FTP oder per SSH einzulogen.
Da ich ja keine Kunden habe, brauche ich auch kein FTP oder SSH am laufen zu haben ausser wenn ich etwas auf dem Server ändern will.

Aus diesem Grund habe ich eine php-Datei auf der Homepage, für den Fall dass ich den SSH brauche. Der Cron prüfte jede Minute ob er den SSH starten soll oder nicht.

Seit HEUTE 12 Uhr habe ich diesen Cron nicht mehr am laufen.

Meine aktuelle Cron ist:

Obwohl jetzt der Minuten Cron nicht mehr aktiv ist hat sich der Postfix trotzdem ausgehängt.
Beim Versuch mit postfix start den Postfix zu starten bekam ich die Meldung:
Nicht genügend Arbeitsspeicher.

Nach Login beim Strato habe ich den Server per Strato-Weboberfläche neu gestartet und jetzt warte ích auf den nächsten Ausfall.
 
Also so löst man solche Probleme garantiert nicht! Schaue Dir mal fail2ban und/oder denyhosts an und änder Deinen SSH-Port, verbiete den root-Login und nutze nur Key-Auth. Das gehört zu den grundlegenden Tätigkeiten, die ich als erstes an einem neuen System durchführe. Damit sind Deine Probleme erstmal passé!

Zu Deinem Problem: Poste nach dem nächsten Ausfall bitte wieder das Logfile, dann können wir weiter sehen. Im Moment vermute ich eine Fehlkonfiguration im Postfix, aber das kann ich so natürlich nicht erkennen.

Denn SSH Port und Root-Login werde ich ändern und werde nur Key-Auth nutzen.

interessant waeren gerade bei Postfix auch mal die /proc/user_beancounters Weiterhin glaube ich nicht, dass Strato einen Debian vSERVER mit Postfix vorinstalliert. Weiterhin gilt generell das Postfix aufgrund seiner "hyperuebermodularen" Struktur nicht fuer vSERVER geeignet ist. :)
 
In der Tat liefert Strato kein Image mit der Kombination.

Postfix ist auf Root-Servern wirklich performant und gut, aber auf VEs, musst du allein das Unix Domain Socket Limit fuer einen kleinen Postfix schon um gut 50% erhoehen, wenn man das mal Anzahl der Kunden multipliziert und das mal ausrechnet was ein Domain Socket an Kernelspeicher verbraucht ist das ordentlich.
 
Bis vor 10 Tage war alles wunderbar.
Was ratet Ihr mir jetzt?
Soll ich Postfix deinstalieren oder was?

Habe eben wieder die Fehlermeldung >bash: fork: Nicht genügend Hauptspeicher verfügbar< erhalten als ich top ausführen wollte.
2 Minuten später könnte ich top ausführen.

Natürlich interessiert es mich!
Deswegen bin ich hier im Forum und hoffe dass wir den Fehler finden.
Gestern gegen 16:30 Uhr habe ich unter /etc/postfix/main.cf dein Eintrag:
default_process_limit = 5 eingetragen

Ab 16:30 habe ich keinen Ausfall gehabt und die ganze Nacht lief alles OK.
Ob es überhaupt was mit der Einstellung in main.cf zu tun hat oder nicht kann ich nicht sagen da ich keine Ahnung habe
aber seit 16:30 läuft der Vserver stabil und habe auch kein Posftix Ausfall.
Vorher hat sich immer zuerst der Postfix ausgehängt dann der Rest.
 
Jetzt ist wieder der Postfix ausgefallen!

Irgend was verbraucht zu viel Speicher und der Postfix hängt sich ständig aus.

Seit ein Paar Stunden ist wieder alles OK aber die Frage ist wie lange?
 
Hat jemand noch eine Idee??
