snmpconf Konfiguration

Hi,

ich versuche grad Net-SNMP zu konfigurieren.
http://net-snmp.sourceforge.net/
Das kompilieren hat soweit geklappt.

Laut Doku soll man zum Abschluss den Dienst noch entsprechend Konfigurieren.
Dort habe ich aber so meine Probleme.

Hier jetzt erstmal der Verlauf, wie weit ich gekommen bin.

Erste Frage ist ok. Wie soll die Config Datei lauten.
Bei der 2ten Frage komme ich aber schon ins schimmen.
Ich möchte das komplette System überwachen können. Hauptsächlich aber den Traffic/Bandbreite.
Hier habe ich erstmal:
6: System Information Setup
ausgewählt. In der Hoffnung, das diese Informationen dann auch ausgelesen werden. Oder wäre ein anderer Punkt idealer ?

Bei der 3ten Abfrage ist es dann aber vorbei:

Section: System Information Setup

   1:  The [typically physical] location of the system.
   2:  The contact information for the administrator
   3:  The proper value for the sysServices object.

Select section:

Was ist denn damit gemeint ?
Ich hatte 2 (The contact information for the administrator) ausgewählt.
Sprich: Die Kontaktinformationen für den Administrator. Denke also mal, das gewisse reports an den Admin geschickt werden.

Ich habe dann mal 2 ausgewählt:

Configuring: syscontact
Description:
  The contact information for the administrator
    Note that setting this value here means that when trying to
    perform an snmp SET operation to the sysContact.0 variable will make
    the agent return the "notWritable" error code.  IE, including
    this token in the snmpd.conf file will disable write access to
    the variable.
    arguments:  contact_string

Und dort meine Email Addy eingetragen.
Danach springe ich aber wieder ins vorherige Menue

   1:  The [typically physical] location of the system.
   2:  The contact information for the administrator
   3:  The proper value for the sysServices object.

Danach ist es eher ein rumgespiele.... klick auf 3:

Configuring: sysservices
Description:
  The proper value for the sysServices object.
    arguments:  sysservices_number

does this host offer physical services (eg, like a repeater) [answer 0 or 1]:

Leider finde ich im Web kein Howto, der die config etwas besser Beschreibt... vorzugsweise in Deutsch... aber in Englisch hab ich auch nichts brauchbares gefunden.


Vllt. kann mir einer unter die Arme greifen... (?)
