Server stürtzt unregelmäßig ab

Hallo,
mein Server hängt sich in unregelmäßigen Abstädnen ca ein mal im Monat auf. Ich muss den dann immer per Webreset neustarten. Vor einigen Wochen habe ich mir aber Logreport oder wie das auch immer heißen mag installiert. Das schickt mir einmal am Tag die Logfiles zu.
In dem von gestern wo der Server um 21:21 abgeschmiert ist steht auch ganz viel drin. Leider kann ich damit aber im Augenblick nicht viel anfangen.

Kann mir jemand sagen, was das bedeutet und was ich machen kann, damit der Server nicht immer abstürzt?

Leider kann ich damit aber im Augenblick nicht viel anfangen.

Leider kann man mit dem Log allgemein nicht viel anfangen -- das Einzige was da steht ist, dass um 21:06:46 der syslog einen Zeitstempel hinterlassen hat. Die restlichen Einträge bestätigen nur, dass ab 21:21:30 der syslogd wieder neu gestartet wurde und dabei den Bootvorgang mitprotokolliert hat (der soweit ganz normal abgelaufen ist). Das ist alles.

Was in den entscheidenden Sekunden vor dem Booten stattgefunden hat, konnte nicht protokolliert werden, was meiner Meinung nach stark nach einem sporadisch auftretendem Hardware-Problem riecht.

Falls Du Zugriff auf eine Boot-Console hast, kannst Du ja mal einen Speichertest installieren und laufen lassen (ich glaube der memtest86 sollte auch auf einem Athlon funktionieren).
Ansonsten kannst Du ja mal versuchen, ob Du das Problem irgendwie gezielt auslösen kannst, z.B. von The Linux Kernel Archives dir einen Linux-Kernel holen und ihn in mehreren Verzeichnissen auspacken (beliebig konfigurieren) und in allen Verzeichnissen gleichzeitig das make starten. Wenn der Server dabei wieder abstürzt, weißt Du dass es wahrscheinlich an fehlerhaften Speicherbausteinen liegt.

Das einfachste wird aber wohl sein, dass Du Dich bei Deinem Provider meldest, damit die mal nach der Kiste schauen

So, vielen Dank schon mal für die Antworten. Ich werde dann mal einen Memtest machen und bei meinem provider mal Fragen was der dazu sagt.
 
Auch die Festplatte könnte einen Hau haben.
fsck sollte man sowieso nach jedem Reboot drüber laufen lassen. (Am Besten im Rescue...)
