saslauthd geht nicht SuSE 9.3

Hallo

testsaslauthd -u xxx -p yyy

bringt 0: NO "authentication failed"

Ich hab nix an der Config verändert. Sollte saslauthd nicht automatisch Systemuser reinlassen?
 
Ich bin noch mal nach der Anleitung vorgegangen und jetzt startet saslauthd gar nicht mehr...

Bei Debian hat alles wunderbar funktioniert und bei SuSE geht irgendwie nix.

Und wie hast Du den Kontakt von testsaslauthd auf saslauthd hergestellt?
Über einen Socket oder Mutex oder NamedPipe?

Sagt mir alles nix.

Gibts da keine Schritt für Schritt Anleitung für SuSE? Ich hab nur eine für Debian gefunden.
 
Auch in dieser Anleitung steht, daß der Parameter "-f ..../mux" genutzt werden soll, damit testsaslauthd weiß, wie es mit saslauthd Kontakt aufnehmen soll.
Der Parameter fehlt aber oben in Deiner Fehlerbeschreibung.
Mein Vorschlag mit Saslfinger hast Du noch gar nicht berücksichtigt?

Da ist noch nicht Ende. Wenn er dort aufhört, ist an der Stelle ein Fehler.
Hier versucht er eine Verbindung zum SMTP-Port auf Localhost aufzubauen, um die von Postfix selbst ausgegebenen Auth-Mechanismen aufzulisten.
Teste es mal selber:
telnet localhost smtp
EHLO

PS: Das Ende von saslfinger sieht so aus:

Ich habe jetzt mehrere Anleitungen ausprobiert. Nach dem ich unter /etc/sysconfig/saslauthd MECHANISMs="shadow" eingestellt habe, gehts jetzt endlich! /etc/default/saslauthd geht anscheinend nicht.

Aber trotzdem vielen Dank für die Hilfe!
