Frage zu Benarichtigung von Logwatch

Hallo,

hoffe ich habe bei meiner Suche nix übersehen.

System: root-Server mit Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

Ich habe mir Heute mal Logwatch installiert. Soweit funktioniert bisher auch alles Fehlerfrei.

Nun bekomme ich 1x am Tag eine E-Mail von Logwatch mit den entsprechenden Meldungen zu:
logwatch schickt mir Infos zu folgenden punkten:

Soweit so gut. Nu habe ich aber noch ein paar Fragen, zu denen ich bisher keine Antwort finden konnte.

1. Was bedeutet folgende Fehlermeldung?

2. Ich möchte gerne auch Informationen zu apache erhalten. Ich dachte, der Eintrag "Service =ALL" in "/etc/logwatch/conf/logwatch.conf"ist ausreichend, da ALLE Service überwacht werden?

Goolge liefert mir keine passenden Ergebnisse oder ich suche falsch.

Zu der Kernel-Fehlermeldung kann ich dir leider nichts sagen. Sie ist ja auch abgeschnitten. Schau sie im Syslog nach.

Ansonsten ist Logwatch etwas kompliziert, aber mal ehrlich: "All"? Woher soll er wissen, welche Meldungen für welchen Dienst von Bedeutung sind? Dafür gibt es Konfigurations-Dateien mit Matching-Regeln in drei Verzeichnissen, die nacheinander ausgewertet werden, und jeweils die gleiche Struktur haben: /usr/share/logwatch/default.conf/, /usr/share/logwatch/dist.conf/, und /etc/logwatch/conf/. Die beiden ersteren sollte man nicht anfassen. Möchte man Regeln ändern, kopiert man sie zunächst aus einem der beiden Vorgabe-Verzeichnisse nach /etc/logwatch/conf/ und bearbeitet sie dort. Ähnliches Kaskaden-System wie bei polkit.

Allgemein kann ich dir sagen, dass mir Logwatch inzwischen gehörig auf den Sack geht, und es deshalb bald fliegt. Also tu es dir nicht an, und wähle gleich die bessere Variante: Logcheck. Das wird von Debian auch besser unterstützt.
