dovecot stirbt und muss manuell restarted werden

Hallo zusammen,

immer zwischendurch wenn wir eMails verschicken stirbt dovecot (S4Y, Suse 9.3 Dovecot Version 0.99.14).
Hat jemand eine Idee? Es läuft die Standard-Config von Server4You.

Du hast zuviele offene Dateien. Entweder stösst du ans Limit deines vservers oder du solltest dir mal die Mechanismen deiner Distribution anschauen, wie man die hochsetzt. Alternativ ins Startskript von dovecot ein entsprechender "ulimit" Aufruf.

ulimit -n 2048

oben in das Startskript schreiben. Aber es wär auch nicht schlecht, wenn du mal ein paar sonstige Infos(vserver oder nicht, Distribution) rausgibst, dann kann man dir gezielter helfen.
