[Debian 5] Apache und Ram?

Hallo, ich habe ein Problem mit apache. Ich habe einen VPS , welcher mit 1500 Ram ausgestattet ist

(Apache Deaktiviert:)

Manchmal geht es auch soweit dass selbst für einen reboot kein Speicher mehr bleibt.

Davor kommt immer das: Fatal error:

In var/www laufen 2x vbulletin.
Sind ungefähr 10 Leute gleichzeitig on gewesen als der server das letzte mal zusammengebrochen ist.
(Mod_remove_ip ist installiert. (mitgeliefert in debian standart sources.list))
(PHP habe ich 128M ram zugewiesen)

  1. Benutze für Systemausgaben und Konfigurationsdateien den Code-Tag stat des Quote-Tags.
  2. Solche Fragen gibt es hier wie Sand am Meer. Benutze die Suchfunktion.
  3. Von Konfigurationsdateien nur die relevanten Ausschnitte posten. Auf jeden Fall ohne (Standard-) Kommentare.
  4. Deine gepostete Apache httpd-Konfiguration ist unvollständig.

Aber dein Problem ist ja eigentlich sehr klar: Du musst den Speicherverbrauch vom Apache herunterfahren.
Mit folgenden Direktiven solltest du dich mal beschäftigen:

Bei google kommt keine gute Lösung raus (nach 3 Stunden).
Und hier habe ich auch keine Lösung gefunden.

Benutzt du apache2-mpm-worker oder apache2-mpm-prefork? Auf einem vServer bzw. maschinen mit wenig RAM würde ich "prefork" einsetzen. Dann reserviert sich Apache nicht sofort den ganzen RAM.

Dein Apache produziert wahrscheinlich zuviele Server/Childprozesse und hält die zu lange offen.

Das zu optimieren kann durchaus Fummelei sein aber dazu musst du erst ungefähr verstehen was diese Direktiven machen. Daher nochmal:
1. Gehe zu http://buecher.lingoworld.de/apache2/dirs.p
2. Gib dort eine Direktive in der Suchfunktion ein, z.B. MaxRequestsPerChild für eine Beschreibung.
3. Wäge ab, ob deine Direktive einen sinnvollen Wert hat oder nicht.

Ein sinnvoller Weg könnte sein:
1. Geringe Anzahl Server, evtl max Serveranzahl begrenzen mit ServerLimit
2. Geringe Anzahl Childprozesse
3. Kurze Lebensdauer d.h. wenig Requests der Prozesse
4. Evtl. kurze oder sehr kurze Timeouts
 
In diesem Zusammenhang ist auch immer der [Thread=14308]Tuning-primer[/Thread]-Thread zu empfehlen, der sein Dasein im SQL-Forum ganz oben fristet. Dort geht es nicht nur im die MySQL-Optimierung, sondern auch um den Webserver.
