Apache stürzt bei "Listen 443" ab

Liebe Community,

ich habe ein wirklich dummes Problem und auch mein Provider kann nicht helfen.

Das System:
Centos 5
Apache
mod_ssl
PHP5
Jeweils aktuell und soweit funktioniert auch alles.

Problem: Nachdem ich per yum mod_ssl installiert habe, kann ich Apache zwar neu starten und er antwortet mit "ok" aber der Prozess stürz sofort ab. Ich konnte den Fehler eingrenzen.

Mit der Standard ssl.conf gibt es nur ein Problem: Wenn ich Listen 443 aktiviere, stürzt der Apache sofort ab. Ohne das, läuft er (eben ohne SSL).

Der Error-Log spuckt folgendes aus (einmal falscher Start mit der "Listen 443" drin und dann danach ohne):

Mein Provider hat zwei Möglichkeiten gesagt: Anderer Programm ist auf dem Port (ist es aber afaik) nicht oder mir würden libs für mod_ssl fehlen. Dabei kann ich leider nichts sagen.

Was denkt ihr?

Möglicherweise fehlt dir dir openssl, ist dies installiert?

Ansonsten kann ich im error.log nichts verwunderliches finden, poste uns doch bitte mal mehr als diese paar Zeilen.

Bin immer noch an diesem Problem dran. Leider ist es immer noch im gleichen dummen Status. Wie kann es denn eigentlich sein, dass Apache so hart abstürzt und dann keine richtige Fehlermeldung in den Logs ist?
Von den Libs her sollte auch alles installiert sein. Oder gibt es da noch irgendwelche?
