Anybody used active-servers.com ?

Yes, I've had a few servers with them for some time.
The bandwith is decent and pings are low (which you can expect from a hoster in Francfort) and the overall quality is also very decent.
I've only once needed their support (to set the rDNS entries for a few IP's), but it was quick and friendly.

In overall, I can recommend them, altough you'll only need their services if you host ping-sensitive applications. For the usual webhosting and high-traffic applications, I'd prefer Hetzner.

I have rented around 3 servers with them for vps hosting purpose and I paid 50 euro for 255 Ips after waiting for 4 weeks they replied with 60 Ips which is not acceptable at all.:mad:
 
I guess its not active-servers fault. Ip allocation is managed by Ripe. U filled out a ripe-request?
 
Yes I filled the form which was sent by them and I showed them and they told its good and charged me 50 euro for 255 Ips, and I have servers with netdirekt as well and I have 255 ips with them as well they never need any ripe form to fill up and they gave me 255 ips in 30 euro without any problem
 
Most probably netdirect filled out the form for you.
The ip allocation is partially based on the hosting company's needs. Smaller companies have more difficulties getting a full block of the already rare IPv4 ip's.
You should ask RIPE -or active-servers so they can ask RIPE- why your request was only partially fulfilled, usually they have a good reason.
