Probleme mit FTP Server (proftp) unter Plesk 8.4 (Suse Linux 10.1...)

Hallo

Zunächst einmal sei gesagt ich bin ziemlich neu in sachen Linux und Server. Allerdings kenne ich mich ziemlich mit Plesk aus.

Ich habe einen Virtual Power Server C - Suse Linux 10.1 + Plesk 8.1

Zunächst hatte ich mein Plesk von 8.1 nach und nach auf 8.40 (Die aktuellste Version hochgeschraubt) Alles soweit bestens.

Allerdings stürzte nach x- Zeit der FTP Server (proftp) ab. Das heist weder per IP noch per Domain konnte ich nicht mehr per FTP (Port 21) auf meine Hostings zugreifen. Alle anderen Dienste funktionierten Problemlos. Durch Neustart des Servers konnte ich dieses Problem auch nicht los werden.

Also musste ich durch einen Recovery Punkt das System restaurieren.

Fazit: Es ging dannach wieder alles auch der FTP. Doch nach einem Tag ungefähr wieder dasselbe Problem.


01.) Woran kann das nur liegen? Ich habe keine Lust jedesmal wegen diesem FTP Problem alles neu restaurieren zu müssen.

Ich habe nun mal den Server komplett neuinstallieren lassen und vorerst die Plesk Version nur bis auf 8.2.1 aktualisiert. (Verdacht: das Problem könnte durch die neue Plesk Version 8.4.0 sein)

02.) Ist es Euch bekannt das Plesk 8.4.0 ggf. unstabil ist? Wenn ja bis zu welcher Version empfiehlt ihr mir zu upgraden?

03.) Welche evtl. andere Lösung könnt ihr mir geben wenn mein FTP Server wieder blockiert bzw. abstürzt?

Wohlgemerkt: Der Firewall in Plesk liess den FTP Server korrekt durch. Also andem kann es kaum liegen.

Ich wäre Euch über eine Antwort sehr dankbar

Könnte daran liegen dass dir der RAM ausgeht. Was sagt "cat /proc/user_beancounters" ?

Ausserdem scheint der FTPPROD server nicht gestartet zu sein.

Wenn ich versuche den proftpd manuell zu sarten sagt er mir das:

- IPv4 getaddrinfo 'h1395862' error: Name or service not known
- warning: unable to determine IP address of 'h1395862'
- error: no valid servers configured
- Fatal: error processing configuration file '/etc/proftpd.conf'


Kannst du mir hiermit weiterhelfen?
