MySQL5 löschen

Hallo,

ich hab einen V-Server mit CentOS5. Installiert ist derzeit MySQL5, da ich aber eine ältere Software installieren will die nur auf MySQL4 läuft muss ich MySQL5 löschen... Aber irgendwie krieg ich das ganze nicht gebacken.

Kann mir jemand sagen wie genau ich MySQL5 lösche und MySQL4 installiere?

yum remove mysql*

:x und dann einfach mit einem rpm von der Mysql Seite oder von rpmforge mysql4 installieren.

soweit war ich auch schon...

Nur muss ich alles was unter 64bit aufgelistet ist installieren oder nur ein, zwei, drei, ...? Was von denen soll ich überhaupt installieren?

Ich hab das versucht: Server 4.1.22-0

Mit wget http://dev.mysql.com/get/Downloads/.../ftp://ftp.fu-berlin.de/unix/databases/mysql/

rpm -i MySQL-server-4.1.22-0.glibc23.x86_64.rpm

Dann bekomm ich die Meldung:

Ohne Logdateien wird die Fehleranalyse sehr schwer.

Sieht das nach einer Log-Datei aus? Ist wohl eher ein shell-Script...

Schau Dir mal /var/lib/mysql/mysqld.log an

Die Datei heißt aber... Kundennummervon1und1.onlinehomeserver.err

Hab eben doch das richtige gefunden aber unter einem ganz anderem Pfad.

Ich glaub dir fehlen noch die SystemDatenbanken mach mal
mysql_install_db

Kann es sein, dass kurzfristig mal zwei Instanzen gleichzeitig gelaufen sind? Vor dem Neustart immer mit "ps -ef |grep mysql" nachprüfen.

Obwohl jetzt gar kein mysql laufen dürfte. Hab eben MySQL5 gelöscht und bis jetzt gar nichts drauf gemacht...

Jetzt hab ich ein neues Problem... Mein Lebenswichtiges Ding geht nicht mehr... Plesk...

Da steht dass es falsch konfiguriert ist, ich denke das liegt daran dass ich MySQL neu gemacht habe... Aber wie konfigurier ich das nun um?

Das liegt daran das Plesk eine Datenbanken namens "psa" hat, kontrolliere mal ob diese Datenbank noch vorhanden ist.

Bzw. welche Fehlermeldung bekommst du?

Das wenn ich auf Plesk zugreifen will und das:

Also MySQL ist nun installiert aber auch nicht... Webmin jedenfalls sagt das MySQL nicht gefunden wird.
Über SSH bekomme ich folgendes wenn ich das Passwort ändern will:

Was mach ich jetzt?

...ich sitz nun das ganze Wochenende an dem Müll und hab gleich keine Lust mehr.
