nachdem ich php5 installiert habe und es auch einigermaßen gut läuft, bekomme ich aber Fehlermeldungen per email durch den Cronjob mailer.

Habe versucht, die 2 RPM Paket nachzuinstallieren, aber da kommt dann immer ne fehlermeldung von wegen z.b. error: Failed dependencies: unixODBC = 2.2.10 is needed by unixODBC-devel--2.2.10-3

Tja, wo ist da mein Gedankenfehler... klar, könnte jetzt einfach hingehen und die mails abstellen

Du hast ein PHP-Modul in der php.ini stehen, welches zu einer älteren Version von PHP gelinkt wurde. Du mußt entweder dieses Modul rausnehmen, oder es ebenfalls für Deine PHP-Version kompilieren.

Wie kompiliere ich die auf meine Version? Gibt es da nicht evtl. auch rpm Pakete??

Sieht aus mal wäre das Paket "unixODBC-devel--2.2.10-3" nur ein Patch.

Kein Patch, sondern das developer-Paket. Darin sind die nötigen Header-Dateien um die unixODBC-Library zu nutzen. Die obige Fehlermeldung lautet ja auch anders:
"error: Failed dependencies: unixODBC = 2.2.10 is needed by unixODBC-devel--2.2.10-3"
Übersetzung:
"Fehler: unaufgelöste Abhängigkeiten: unixODBC wird von unixODBC-devel benötigt."

Die *.so dateien von der alten php datei sind alle da...

Weiß echt nicht, wo ich die fehlenden Dateien herbekommen soll.

Achja, ich denke des könnte noch wichtig sein:

Lt. Anleitung sollte ich php5 nur mit make installieren und NICHT make install.
